Grab your favourite football shirt and join us for this fun, participatory family concert, exploring a day in the life of a legendary footballer!
Join the London Philharmonic Orchestra for the European premiere of É Gol! by Brazilian-American composer Clarice Assad, imagining a day in the life of legendary Brazilian footballer Marta Vieira da Silva as she prepares for the big game. Created for orchestra and audience, this piece offers the whole family a chance to perform with the LPO throughout, using your voice, breath, and body percussion. The concert includes Clarice introducing all the music and leading audience participation, as well as other exciting music to get you in the sporty mood!
Make a day of your visit.
Your concert ticket includes a fabulous array of free musical activities in the foyer spaces at the Royal Festival Hall before the concert begins, so the whole family can make a day of your visit. This could include drop-in interactive workshops exploring the themes of the concert, and our extremely popular “Have a Go” sessions, where children can try out orchestra instruments. Watch this space for further activities to be announced.
Activities take place from 10.00am–12.00 noon and are free to concert ticket holders.
