NEC Philharmonia performs Boitatá
January 27, 2027
The New England Conservatory Philharmonia performs Boitatá: Overture for Orchestra (2023) at Jordan Hall, Boston.
Boitatá takes its name from the Tupi-Guarani legend of the giant fire serpent, a fierce protector of the forests and animals against those who destroy nature, an old myth that could not be more current in today’s reality of burning forests worldwide. Commissioned by the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association, Gustavo Dudamel, Music & Artistic Director.
