This summer, I am excited to work on several compositional projects at once, including the creation of TERRA, a concerto for bassoon and orchestra for Daniel Matsukaya (commissioned by the Philadelphia Orchestra), PLAY ! for Third Coast Percussion and myself (this is a co-commission project with a bunch of excellent orchestras) and my piece AI, for electronics and chamber orchestra as part of my Sandbox residency with the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra. After an exciting week at the Elbphilharmonie Jazz Academy in Hamburg, I am almost ready to catch a flight to Brazil and attend the premiere of my opera Isolda.Tristão with the libretto by Marcia Zanelatto at the Theatro Municipal in São Paulo, Brazil.
