Dear Friends,
It is hard to believe that 2025 came to and end. What a year that was, in so many ways.
Happy new year to you and thank you so much for stopping by. I hope that 2026 is filled with high notes, joy and love.  2026 is shaping up to be an extraordinary year of music-making, collaboration, and connection! I’m thrilled to share what’s ahead—a year filled with world premieres, international performances, and meaningful artistic partnerships. Some new works are taking flight;  In April, my orchestral work HOUDINI (from Five American Portraits) will have its premiere at the Palace Theater in Stamford, CT. May brings the world premiere of my 8th Blackbird commission at the Gilmore Piano Festival in Michigan—a performance I’ll be attending personally. August features the Cabrillo premiere of KONTROL, and September concludes with the Vermont Symphony Orchestra performing and premiering a new commissioned work. There are more exciting news in the way, from touring in the US, Brazil and Europe.
This year I’m honored to be the first musician to be featured as the Kageyama-Hunt Global Speaker at Belmont Hill School in February, and I’ll be speaking at Global Women in Music in New York in March as well. As always, Educational engagement remains close to my heart with school visits and perhaps the biggest news of all is that I will be joining Oakland Symphony as their composer-in-residence for the next 2 years. Here’s to a year of beautiful music, meaningful connections, and artistic growth. Thank you for being part of this journey.
